Scoobot Street Dance Centre is MOVING!

Welcome to Scoobot Dance Centre - The UK's ultimate dance training program where we are serious about street dance. Scoobot is brought to you by known UK street dance veteran Kymberlee Jay, the European Nike Athlete who has worked previously alongside the likes of Madonna and Cheryl Cole!

Scoobot is the first dance centre in the UK that will allow you to learn every major style of street dance in a structured manner. High quality classes are available for every age from 5 to 105 and for all abilities from complete beginner to advance professional! Classes are taught in fun, friendly and safe learning environments. All of our teachers are fully CRB checked, fully insured and complete ongoing first aid training.

Scoobot gives you the opportunity to learn from some of the UK's most sought after Street Dance specialists. Learn REAL street dance moves and dance for fun or gain some techniques, become more confident and once you feel ready, Scoobot can help you to show off your skills with lots of performance opportunities across the UK!

This website will give you all the information you need on the classes we teach, where and when they are taught and the styles that are covered. You can also pay for classes in advance and pick up some Scoobot merchandise in our online shop.

What Is Street Dance?

Street Dance literally gained its title from the "street" - the location where many of the popular techniques originated.  It is the umbrella term for dance styles that were developed in an outdoor inner-city environment (as oppose to the more developed indoor facilities where many classical, contemporary and jazz styles were studied) by young people from the late 70's and onwards, primarily in the USA.  Street Dance styles include Bboying (break dancing); Funk styles (Popping and Locking), House Dance, as well as routine choreography of an "urban" nature, which now includes elements of New Jack Swing, New Style, Jazz Funk and Gymnastics. Street Dance is now the most prolific dance style in the UK, with a huge industry following. Forms of Street Dance styles can be seen in many music videos and backing major label music artists across the globe. More recently it has become the theme for box office smash movie projects (Step Up 3D and the UK's Street Dance 3D) and reality television shows (George Sampson, Diversity and Flawless on Britain's Got Talent, Akai on Sky 1's Got To Dance, BBC's So You Think You Can Dance and MTV's America's Best Dance Crew).
